Moses Soyer
(1899-1974)
Soyer is known primarily for his original lithographs and oil paintings. He exhibited at such major institutions as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Carnegie Institute and the Pennsylvania Museum of Fine Arts. Today his work is included in the following collections; the Whitney Museum, the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum, New York. In the post World War Two era, Moses Soyer's art concentrated particularly upon figure studies.
